Welcome to the Ten Things to Tell You podcast. I'm Laura Tremain. I always have at least

ten things to tell you and you have ten things to tell. This is a show where we believe that sharing yourself will make you less

lonely. I want you to go on a girls trip in 2025. I want you to hear this episode. I want you to be inspired. I want you to send it to your

bestie or your sister or your internet friend or your coworker. I want you to send it to them and say,

let's do this. Because I feel really strongly about getting out of our own spaces with friends.

Now of course you can do this with couple friends, you can do this with families, but there is a really specific flavor, there's a really specific benefit

to an all-girls getaway that I feel like we can't get in any other scenario,

just being with other women out of our normal spaces but for an extended period of time.

So it's more than just a girls night out, which I also love.

It's time together that really lets conversations meander, that really lets long-held things

kind of come to the surface, that lets us get to know one another in a totally

different context because when you are in your pajamas sipping coffee with

a friend that's a totally different context than being all dalled up for

somebody's birthday dinner, right? So it provides all of these things that I feel like bring us back to ourselves, bring us back to the

type of girlfriend we were when we were young and we had sleepovers and we had long Saturdays

together where we braided hair or zoned out to bad TV and just talked together.

Now maybe that wasn't your childhood girlfriend experience and so you're a little wary of

planning a long weekend together with other women but I am here to tell you if you haven't done it ever or if you haven't done it in a while,

it can really give you a whole new perspective. I think women talk about things differently together. I think that

we bond differently and a way that we can bond and connect on a deeper level really has to do with

quality time for a lot of us, just a lot of time together. I also think that a girls weekend can provide an element

of fun in our lives that we just don't get on the day to day. So whatever your girls trip looks like, however
