This week on the MalloryBros Podcast, the Bros start with a weekend recap of course, then shortly after they recap Netflix’s unexpected “Balloon Pop” show BOMBING. This of course leads to a conversation on why originality is KING. Then the Bros crack open “The Luxury Lie, We Continue to Buy” which is them dissecting why we buy into lavish lifestyles and if it’s all just smoke and mirrors. This comes on the heels of the Chinese Manufactures going viral on TikTok exposing factory pricing for a lot major companies. The Bros next pay homage to Ryan Coogler and give him flowers for his KODAK video discussing film formats. They even show their own examples of film they saved from film school to add context to Ryan’s format analysis. They discuss how his behind-the-scenes approach to filmmaking continues to inspire a new wave of creators, and while Terrance appreciates Cooglers film prowess, he also challenges the strength of the FILM format’s future with young creators. We wrap up with our classic “Course of Action” which the Bros spoke and improving due to it’s past success on the podcast.
