No matter the question, reading is the answer. And in a year starting off like 2025 is, we certainly need a lot of answers to life's questions. I am thrilled to welcome fellow Angeleno bookworm Traci Thomas (host of The Stacks podcast) to talk about the most anticipated new book releases of 2025. We talk about novels and nonfiction by debut and beloved authors publishing this year and sorry not sorry about this conversation that will send your book budget soaring. There are so many good books to look forward to in the next six months. 0:07.6	we went dark last week in the middle of the Los Angeles wildfires. Both my guest, Tracy Thomas of
0:16.6	the Stacks, and me, your host, Laura Tremaine, we are both based in Los Angeles and not only
0:23.2	were we facing power outages and in my case I had to evacuate while the fires raged.
0:29.9	It also just felt like I didn't want to put a podcast episode up and promoted and all of the things that come along with making this show
0:42.2	when the city was burning all around us. Los Angeles now faces an enormous recovery and
0:51.0	relief period. And I will continue to post about and talk about the efforts that are
0:57.7	being made, places that you can donate or help out. In the meantime, though, it is my deepest
1:04.6	belief that reading is the answer. Books are the future. Books are the way that we educate ourselves, that we
1:14.7	learn from others' experiences, and it is the thing that I'm most passionate about in life.
1:20.4	And so I am glad to point you towards the books that we are very excited about that are coming
1:26.4	out in 2025, because that is a topic
1:30.0	that will always be relevant to me, is reading.
