Summary

In the late 19th century, a priest named Berenger Sauniere was sent to take over a decrepit church in the tiny French village of Rennes Le Chateau. After that, the poor country priest discovered a secret that made him fabulously wealthy. There are those who say Sauniere discovered a vast treasure of gold, jewels and possibly even the actual Holy Grail. Others say he discovered a secret that threatened to break the Catholic Church.
