Understanding the context of Isaiah’s world is key to unlocking his words.(16:45) There was division between Israel and Judah in Isaiah’s day. Ephraim and Syria were waging war against Judah. Isaiah counsels King Ahaz to not get into an alliance with any other group of people.(24:43) The coal placed on Isaiah’s lips can be seen as the Atonement that cleanses him. (28:18) God asks, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” We should wear out our lives in proclaiming Jesus.(35:53) Isaiah sees the latter-day temple, gathering of Israel, and millennial judgement and peace.

0:36.0	I think we've got to acknowledge Bryce that a lot of people don't like Isaiah and I think Isaiah gets a bad rap.
