This is the second part of a two-part episode.

In part one, Jason and I discuss the origins of angels and began a breakdown of their hierarchy.

In this part, we continue with the hierarchy and discuss the evolution of angels over the years.

Moving on to the top sphere, the lowest of the highest choirs.

We've got thrones, or as you said earlier, Ophaname, which goes better with the rest of the names of the guys in this sphere.

These are the fun ones. They're the wheel-looking beings described in Ezekiel and are variously said to be the wheels of God's chariot and the dispensers of his judgments.

These are, in my opinion, the creepiest of all the angels.

All the others are some kind of creature.

These are not. It's literally just described as being like wheels within wheels.

We don't even know how many concentric rings of these things. It's just some, at least two, maybe a thousand, we don't know.

They just fly around and they don't turn. They'll be flying forward.

If they want to go to the right, they just start going to the right. They don't turn and go right.

They're omnidirectional beings. These are absolute creepy.

We see them described in Ezekiel 1 and Ezekiel 10.

We also catch a mention of them in 1st Enoch 71, 61, 2nd Enoch 20 and 21, which calls them the mini-eyed angels, or the mini-eyed ones, and Colossians 116, where Paul talks about them.

He kind of just lists them among other things.

He says, for him, all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,

whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through him and for him.

We say, thrones, that's another word for the Ophenium.

It's these rings, these concentric rings, and they fly around, and they're covered in eyes.

We don't know how many, but it's just mini.

They're usually seen in company with the living creatures that are also mentioned in Ezekiel.
