Welcome to talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be in

Alma 23 through 29 we're doing missionary work we're going to get back the reports of

who's doing what and where the brothers come back.

We read in this part of the text that there's like a 14 year mission that takes place,

two sets of seven.

We also read that, you know, they don't all have the same number of seven. We also read that you know they don't all have the same number of

converts. This is the story of missionary work we often don't tell and if we take

the approach like we're supposed to and ask ourselves okay Mormon had all these sets of plates, he could have gone in so many different directions.

Why does he tell this story? I think we should do that every single time.

Why did Mormon choose this story? There must be something in our lives in our society in the church of the latter days that Mormon saw that we would need this story. So now we get the plight of the new convert. We get to walk into the church and

see it from the perspective of the new convert because they go through more than we often realize.

And we need to be more sensitive to those who are coming in.

Now that's if we focus on missionary work, which I think we should.
