Summary

The Iron Culture universe is expanding! In this crossover episode the host of Sigma Nutrition Radio, Danny Lennon, joins Eric Helms to co-host! Dr. Cliff Harvey, who did his PhD on ketogenic diets at AUT, joins Danny and Eric to discuss the often conflicting research and anecdotes on the effect of carbohydrates on lifting performance, adaptations and body composition change. Eric, Danny and Cliff are all on the Sports Nutrition Association (SNA) advisory board - an organisation dedicated to supporting the profession of sports nutrition. The board is packed with nutrition experts with a ton of experience. This is the first of many crossover episodes to come where Iron Culture, Sigma Nutrition Radio, and the SNA combine forces to bring you the best practical, science-based nutrition content possible!

Okay. Eric. Danny. Look at that. How are you? I'm a little confused because I just said Danny rather than Trexler, Dr. Trexler, Eric, or Omar.

0:15.0

We're really into the multiverse now. Something weird is happening. Oh, man. And I, well, the not to do. You know, the crazy thing is we

0:22.1

actually had a 3DMJ Iron Culture crossover not too long ago. I had Alberto Nunez and Brian

0:27.4

minor on. I didn't know how to deal with that. And now we've got three hosts on Iron Culture.

0:34.4

And this last time, just recently, I had Cliff on, and neither one of the other hosts were there.

0:39.6

It was just me, Cliff, and Connor.

0:41.4

And Connor is on an obelisk as a sometimes host, not on the pyramid.

0:47.5

This time he was there as a host, but kind of leaning over the obelisk.

0:52.0

And now what we have is someone who has their own other show

0:56.9

Sigma Nutrition Radio hosting with me without Trexler or Omar so I guess we're on the

1:03.3

Sigma Iron Culture Nutrition Radio Ultra podcast show.

1:13.0

That sounds exactly right to me.

1:17.2

And the way I've heard of described is that Eric Helms is this kind of guy that has like this podcast hosting pyramid scheme where he's like trying to get more people involved

1:22.1

and like does all these little interactions and now suddenly everyone is doing some type of

1:27.0

hosting with him. so seems to be

1:29.0

working out great yeah you know they call me Ponzi up up in the hood and we're going with it and

1:34.8

trust me your money will be well handled and nothing wrong is happening right now when you notice

1:42.7

that certain things fall just remember that that's just

1:46.4

the market picking up and things are going to end up great for you, Danny. Well, the joke's on you

1:52.8

because I don't have any money, but thank you for reassuring. No, no problem. I'll take all the

1:59.5

Bitcoin you have. So we've got Dr. Cliff Harvey on

2:05.0

today on the Sigma Culture Nutrition Iron Radio show podcast. And we're talking carbohydrates.
