You know, I think for me a big question is with anyone who's devoted their life to golf.

You know you've talked about the difference between you know golf as work and I'm

curious to know like like going back as far as you can in your memory

when did you make the decision

to turn golf from a passion into a.

Oh, that's, I remember the moment exactly.

I was 14. I got back even further so I started playing when I was

eight and growing up in South Africa we played rugby, cricket, athletics and I don't know if a school that really has golf so you

kind of got to do it on your own, you know, my dad played and I started getting free him on Saturday you know mornings he'd give me

five bucks and I was bored out of my mind as a 10 year old but that's how I started and

then when I was 14 I started playing junior tournaments getting a bit of coaching and I remember sitting down on a couch like this talking to my dad and we're like, okay, no more rugby, no more cricket, like I want to do this.

And that was a moment.

And what, can you remember that there was, was there a feeling in that moment where it was like?

Yeah, like I love team sports.

So leaving especially leaving rugby was hard.

But it was excitement, man. It was exciting.

Seeing, you know, my heroes like Ernie and Redif and wanting to plan that stage and as a 14 year old kid having that dream like that's pretty freaking cool.
