This was a very big week for me. It was a year ago this past week that I decided to do a number of life-changing things. I decided to separate from my

husband, and two months later, I decided to leave. And in that two-month period, I decided to make

this podcast. A year ago, today, I was in the worst place I had ever been in my life. I felt like I didn't

even recognize myself anymore. I was literally losing my voice. I found that I couldn't even

speak to my closest friends. Myself was just like evaporating. And I didn't even know if I could ever get myself back again.

A year ago, I remember sitting on my bathroom floor sobbing, and I remembered that years and years

ago, I used to feel like I had this like a wise center, like a protective spirit,

and that would tell me such wise things about how to move forward in my life.

So I sat there and just pleaded for her to find me again. I just kept saying, I am right here.
