I just read very buzzy, very popular book this year, James by Percival Everett.

I think Barnes & Noble named it the book of the year.

Is it there?

I know it was like, I thought it was that.

And it's something else as well.

Maybe it's a Pulitzer Prize finalist, it says.

I am.

It is a retelling of the adventures of

Huckleberry Finn which I had no idea you told me about this on Thanksgiving and I had no

idea that that's what this book was about yeah from the point of view of Jim who was on I

okay I must admit I don't remember much about Huck Finn. And I actually went and read the

Wikipedia about halfway through because I was like, did all this should happen in Huck Finn? And a lot of

it did. But it's told from the point of view of Jim who is a slave and he finds out he's about

to be sold. And so he escapes.
