As the Bears are on the field for the second time this week, they'll have 10 OTAs in all.

First time that was open to the media, Chris Bowden, JJ.J. Stankovitz, John Moon-Mollin from

CSNChicago.com, joining me here at Hall. And guys, obviously the big news today, first time that Mike

Glennon was able to speak with the media. This is about a month or so in coming since the drafting of

Mitchell Trevisky. JJ, how's Mike doing? Emphatically, he's doing emphatically.

That's not a thing, but he's, he was very emphatic in stating over and over again that

2017 is my year.

This is my team.

And it, you know, it stems from a conversation he said he had with Ryan Pace 10 minutes

after Mitch Trabisky was drafted.

He said Pace called him and reassured him, this is your team, this is your year, you are our starting

quarterback. And that jives with what Ryan Pace said over and over and over again after they

drafted Chubisky that this is Mike Glennon's our starting quarterback.

So for Glennon, there's no doubt about his role in 2017, and that is to be the

Bears starting quarterback.

And I think a point here, you know, as we kind of parse through his comments and, you know,

say that they're emphatic, it was a mantra, all that.

What else is he going to say?

I mean, if he got up there and got to the podium and said, well, you know, I'm here to

help Mitch develop.

And be like, well, then why did we pay $18 million for him? You need to cut it.
