Okay, so hi, it's me.

The first thing is a recording of a letter from Charles Dexter Ward to Dr. Willett.

This is pretty late on in their relationship, just before Charles was committed to the asylum.

I called just now because I wanted to give you some context for how we found this.

But I think it should play out up top and then the explanation comes closer to the end of the show.

But I'll throw something in later so you know where it goes.

I'm going to email you the actual text of the letter.

But this recording is George Sheppley, the library guy, reading the letter out because I wanted to hear it in a man's voice.

And yes, I know what you're thinking. Shut up.

So you could use this. I think it's an okay recording.

But also you could get it redone by Justin or someone.
