While much of the rest of the nation was watching the Eclipse, I was sitting down with

former speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for a democracy series I'm

hosting the spring at Arizona State University. We touched on the election

and some of the key issues churning our politics in the world today.

One of those of course is Gaza and our conversation was punctuated at times by pro-Palestinian

protesters, but I must confess it was not your typical axe files. I wanted to focus on leadership power

and the lesson she's learned about their use during her long historic career. But you put

Pelosi in a roomful of young people and well. At times I just had to sit back and listen to her share

her rich and colorful stories.
