In the early hours of January 25, 2019, 29-year-old Liz Barraza began her morning in a quiet suburb of Houston, Texas. She drank her coffee, chatted with her husband, and started preparing for a garage sale in her driveway while it was still dark outside. At 6:53 AM, a mysterious black truck pulled up to her home, where an unknown suspect, captured on camera, exited the truck and charged towards Liz in her driveway.
The mystery person appeared to be wearing go-go boots, a light-colored dress, and a dark, long wig. After a brief exchange of words lasting 9 seconds, the suspect fatefully pulled out a revolver and shot Liz four times before fleeing the scene. Her case, marked by the suspect's bizarre act of killing "in costume," has captivated the community for years, remaining one of the most mysterious in Houston's history.
