0:00.0	And they were actually having the conversation, which I think to find our generation, which is, you know, Sam Harris, Lawrence Grouse, that side of the argument says, hey, we can pull out spirituality and ritual and morality, all these things, we can pull that out of religion and God and move forward as humanity.
0:24.0	Basically saying that the anxiety that we create for ourselves is when we're out of alignment with reality. And so a lot of what he's trying to do is just get people back to reality.
0:34.0	And a lot of times, one of the biggest things that people are doing that is pushing against reality is trying to change other people. You're trying to control the actions of others, and you put so much time and so much energy into trying to make these changes to other people that you can't do.
0:51.0	It's impossible. And so you're just working yourself up into a state of anxiety over and over again over and over again.
0:59.0	My big thing is let's stay away from fundamentalism and nihilism and let's kind of unite whatever you are, spiritual, atheist, deconstructed Christian, nuanced Mormon, whatever the thing is. As long as we're collectively fighting nihilism and fundamentalism, I think that needs to be the focus.
1:21.0	So the thing that I am really passionate about, really excited about, I love talking to people who are at that place where they're like, I'm ready to look at me.
1:31.0	I'm ready to look at how all of these things have impacted me and I want to see how I'm processing information and these habits of thinking, the way that we've been wired.
1:47.0	These are neurons in our brain that are living things that are communicating with each other. They're playing a game of telephone or telegraph or grapevine.
1:56.0	You know, they're sending synapses over and over and over and over and over again. And we can change them. Like a shepherd of shepherd.
2:05.0	Because the world is round, it turns me on.
2:14.0	This is infants on thrones, baby steps, who want some to preach to you.
2:20.0	The philosophies of men, mingled with humor.
2:26.0	I don't believe them.
2:27.0	If many willing to preach to you, the philosophies of men, mingle with humor.
