0:00.0 | Hello, welcome to Christie's couch. My name is Christie Lucasiac. And you are hanging out with me on this lovely Thursday. |
0:12.0 | You're almost there. It's almost Friday. It's December. How wild is it that it is already December anyone else having like the sense of where did the year go? |
0:24.0 | But then on the flip side, when you think about the last year, where did the last two years go even because I have this real issue now when I'm trying to remind people or I'm trying to remember events, I should say I have no idea if it happened a year ago or three years ago. |
0:41.0 | COVID really fucked me over as far as knowing like my time space continuum is all a skew, you know, like that's all I can say I have no sense of the last year. |
0:54.0 | So for me to be like, oh my god, I can't believe it's December. I can't believe it's December, but then why the hell not can't I believe it's December. We lost a whole year. |
1:02.0 | Anyway, happy December. I hope that your Thanksgiving went well. I hope that you did not have any massive family tragedies or, you know, horror stories. |
1:15.0 | Although I will say the bonus to having any sort of like massive family meltdowns during the holidays is it always makes a good story. |
1:22.0 | You know, like so if you did have a bad holiday, look at it from the bright side. You will have a great tale to tell for years that will hold you over at cocktail hours, you know, for years to come. |
1:34.0 | You can you can really ride that story out. Look at the positives. Our Thanksgiving was pretty low key. Chloe came home and she brought her kitty. |
1:45.0 | So if you know anything about my family, you know that my 20 year old Chloe likes to adopt pets and bring them home and then drop them off at Christie's wayward home for homeless animals. That's my house. |
1:56.0 | I have her dog barns and I have her cat noble. I did adopt Maggie, which you always hear my dogs barking in the background of this podcast, but she adopted this little teeny kitty and she named her lady, which of course has turned into ladybug, which is now turned into bug. |
2:13.0 | So little bug was here. And oh, my God, is she so cute? She's not just a little kitten because obviously she's small because she's a kitten, but she's drape petite. |
2:26.0 | She's very just small and dainty. She's so loud, though, like she's a total food whore. If she hears us go anywhere near refrigerator or a can of food, she screams at the top of her lungs. |
2:39.0 | She's the cutest thing she wanted nothing to do with me. So now my goal in life is to win her over. I bought her feathers. I bought her blankies. I bought her the best food. I got her kitty snacks. |
2:52.0 | Nope. She totally didn't want anything to do with me. However, the last night before they left, she did come and sleep on my chest and per. So I think we're getting somewhere. |
3:02.0 | Chloe, Chloe is bringing her home for the holidays, but we're not going to be here. So I'm only going to see that little kitty tonight. So I don't know. |
3:14.0 | She did not drop her off. She did take her back to LA, which we're making progress. Like so Chloe is still lady's mother. I am her Gigi and she's the cutest. |
3:24.0 | But I have to say the best part of lady being here is that noble was less of an asshole because low noble likes to bite my feet and angles and he's a monster cat. |
3:37.0 | And he was so preoccupied with lady. He just looked at me when I said that. He was so preoccupied with lady that he played with her the entire time and loved it. So maybe that means I need a kitten. I'm not sure. |
3:50.0 | All right. So that's about it as far as catching all of you up on Costa J. Lucasiac. I mean, it's just very low key. It's been a week back to work. I personally have been feeling just black lately. |
4:07.0 | Like the last maybe five days. I have been so like drained of every piece of energy, every morsel. I feel like my cells are all depleted of anything they need to like function properly. |
4:23.0 | I don't know if it's because I ate too many white foods at Christmas because you know everything your Christmas is like white and brown or not Christmas Thanksgiving. |
