Hi, welcome to Christy's couch. My name is Christy Lukazyak. And thank you for joining me today on the couch. So I am really, really, really excited about today's episode.

0:18.0

I feel like I am in a really different mindset today going into this episode. A lot of times when I go into the episode, I sort of feel like I'm just having a conversation with my friends.

0:30.0

And I absolutely am coming from that place or that intention today because this is a conversation with my friends and totally honest. And I've said this to a million times.

0:40.0

My podcast is probably my most intimate place for a share because it's not speaking to this massively huge audience like some of my other social media.

0:50.0

When I share with you on the podcast, I really feel that you are a group of people who you're here because you want to improve something in your life.

1:01.0

You have a connection with me. I have a connection with you. And it feels like a safe space where I can be a little bit more vulnerable. And that leads me into the reason, well, first of all, I have to say, and I said this on last week's episode as well.

1:17.0

Two weeks ago, the first of the year, I did an episode about what's holding you back from reaching your goals.

1:26.0

Excuse me. And I talked a little bit about the biggest thing that we do to self sabotage. And that is holding on to things of the past. We hold on to hurt. We hold on to negative feelings.

1:37.0

And there's a whole, there's a whole scientific reason why holding on to things really does hold you back.

1:45.0

And I touched upon it a little bit in that episode. And I had so many of you DM me reach out to me, you know, jump in a question box on Instagram.

1:58.0

And the resounding feeling was that you guys really love that episode.

2:05.0

I had so many people saying that it was the most vulnerable they heard me. Thank you for sharing. And that meant a lot to me because I think that I am so used to being guarded on so many levels while I am more open on socials than I normally am anywhere.

2:24.0

Or I should say while I am open on socials, I try to be, you know, authentic about what's going on in my life. There are things that I hold personally to myself that I don't always share.

2:36.0

And it's been, it's taken me a little bit of time to reflect on that. And the few things why I don't share is because of judgment of because people thinking that they quote unquote know me because they watched me on television for a long time.

2:49.0

Which look, I get it. I totally get it. I understand it. I feel the same way about certain people on a show.

2:56.0

But that I think has put me in a mindset where sometimes I'm not as completely transparent as I'd like to be.

3:05.0

So the fact that you liked the, the episode where I was a little bit more vulnerable tells me that maybe that's okay. Maybe that's where I need to go.

3:15.0

And so I wanted to do an episode today, almost a continuation of that episode where we were talking about clearing space because the other question I kept getting was, Christy, this makes sense. How do I do it?

3:28.0

And I am going to share with you some of the techniques and strategies that I have come across or read about that I want to share with you.

3:40.0

So we have a really interesting episode today that this is probably the first, I shouldn't say the first by no means, but this is one of the most inspired episodes I have had or I've been excited to record and share with you because I just think that if I can help even one of you and help you to live a more fulfilled true honest life.

4:09.0

You know, dream life, then I am really paying it forward in the world and that's kind of exciting that really is so really excited to share this episode with you.

4:20.0

But before we get into all of that, I always feel like I need to give you an update. It's almost like my confessional you guys are like my priest.
