0:00.0 | Hello, welcome back to Christy's couch. My name is Christy Lukazeak. Thank you for joining me. Welcome, welcome. |
0:13.0 | Let's see. I always start off by hoping that you're having a great week. I do. I hope that you're having a fabulous week. |
0:19.0 | I hope that you're staying warm. If you are like us, we've had an onslaught of horrible winter weather. So we're just trying to stay warm. |
0:28.0 | And I realize that I don't think I have worn a pair of pants with a button or a zipper since Paris. I'm just saying I've been very warm. |
0:38.0 | Usually in the past, anytime that I have been in my house, even if I'm working, or I should say anytime that I'm working, actually, just every day, I have always been the type of person to get up and get dressed for the day. |
0:53.0 | You know, I wear a cute outfit, even if I'm just sitting in my office, it makes me feel better. Like that's just who I am. It makes me feel better as a person. |
1:02.0 | Yeah, not so much this year. I have become the queen of the sweatpants and the sweatshirt and the warm socks ever since we returned home from Paris. |
1:12.0 | I think probably because right when we got home from Paris, I got COVID and then I just sort of have been like, whatever, I'll be warm and comfortable. |
1:21.0 | So thank you for coming to my TED Talk about my sweatpants. Very much appreciate it. But I do hope that you are having a great week. |
1:30.0 | My lovely California daughter likes to call me and say, oh, mom, it's 85 right now. I'm sitting outside sweating to death in my, you know, my t-shirt and I'm getting ready to go to the park and sit outside and do my schoolwork to enjoy the sun. |
1:48.0 | And I'm slightly jealous. I'm just saying so. Yeah. So that's kind of what's happening. You know, whether sucks. I've been doing a lot of Amazon lives. If you've never joined me for an Amazon live, please come join me for an Amazon live. I find them to be very fun. |
2:06.0 | My whole thing is I like to do deals of the day. Like what's on deal on Amazon and everything I share is usually something that I either have bought or I'm buying. |
2:16.0 | So I just have a lot of fun there and I tend to do them. I would say Friday, Saturdays and Sundays around one. So if you just go to like the deals page, you probably will find me, but you can come hang out. |
2:27.0 | And what else has been going on? Not a whole lot. I've been working a lot, a lot, a lot on some upcoming projects I have coming up upcoming projects. I have coming up. Wow. That was certainly repetitive. |
2:43.0 | But I have. I've been working a lot and been feeling very inspired. I've actually been doing a lot of self work. I have been doing, like I said, I think I mentioned this before. I have been doing a morning routine where I've been waking up between five and six. |
3:02.0 | And I try to get up closer to five. And honestly, some days it's closer to six. But I try to wake up and do a version of the miracle morning where essentially you have a few minutes of silence, you do affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading and writing, like in a journal. |
3:23.0 | And I used to get up very early every day when probably back in like 2017. And I would walk every morning, really, really early, I would walk like this path and loop near our home. |
3:37.0 | And it was just so beautiful to be outside. And I got so many inspired ideas. And I really loved it. And I'm obviously not getting up right now to go walk around in the snow. So this is just like my version of being able to have that. |
3:49.0 | That morning where I feel inspired, instead of starting my day on my heels and in an aggravated state, you know, I try to start and wake up and be more intentional and just have quiet time in the morning, which I really love. |
4:05.0 | And so I keep getting the question like, how is it that you wake up that early every day? Honestly, once you get kind of on a pattern and you get started on it, it's not difficult to do. |
4:15.0 | And I feel that it's a lot more rewarding to wake up early and get a good handle on your day than always feeling like you're rushing and then the day kind of slips by you. |
4:24.0 | So do I go to bed early? Probably. I mean, I would say I go to bed between 10 and 11 now, but I do like waking up at five. So that's kind of where I've been. |
