Her story is of bone and shadow, pine and forest floor,

of time lost and purpose found with the beginning hidden inside an ending.

You see, it's thought the younger died in childbirth when she was about twelve.

She and her babe were buried on the far side of the hill, on the other side of the road,

far from where any decent folk might go.
