Another sit-down video welcome in everybody this is

episode 161 of the sit-down I am your host Jeff Nadu and when we talk about the mafia, when we hear organized crime, some of the things we immediately may think of are unions, right?

We've seen films about unions, and one of those unions that is more mob connected over the years

than any is the teamsters the international brotherhood of teams there's men like

Jimmy Hoffa, you know, John Cody down the road. A lot of Teamsters were very involved in being connected to the mob and what ultimately we saw happen in the 70s and into the 80s is the

mob's takeover of locals in the New York area and around the country and what it

led to is the mob's involvement in some of the biggest construction projects the

country's ever seen today. We're going to get a very interesting look and I

thank our friends that no excuses Mike Mikey Scars, and R.J.

They recently had an individual on called Joe Land Franchi,

and Jo Land Franchi for years was a steward in Teamsters Local 282.

This is one of the most involved unions in New York City.

Okay, these are guys that had mobsters all over as stewards and foremen. We're going to get a look today in what the

Union actually did, what they were involved in, some of the things Joe saw. Again, and I saw Mikey and R.J mentioned that this is history.

Guys like this don't speak much. We're not going to say obviously the individual we're having on is not a member of the mafia but he kind of was involved he was around them every day made a bunch of money how much money is they're actually in teamsters and being involved.
