Jed, I'm super excited to be here. I've always wanted to be on a podcast, so this is great.

Thanks for having me. Well, I'm thrilled that ACRAC is your first. So, let's start with you. Tell

us a little bit about your background, kind of how you ended up where you are in terms of your

career. And then also, of course, how you got interested in this field of behavioral economics.

Yeah, so I started out as an engineering undergrad who then decided, mainly probably because of

peer pressure, because I went to Johns Hopkins University. Everybody there's pretty met. I ended

up going to medical school at Northwestern and I wanted to be a urologist and there's a long

story of how I ended up in anesthesia, but then wanted to focus on pediatric anesthesia. I did my

fellowship training at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia and stayed on there for about 16 years

and just recently made the transition to Boston Children's Hospital, which has been quite exciting.

One of the big things is now I have to become a Red Soxeter Patriotist fan.

My friends in Philadelphia are not too excited about. So, yeah, I'm a pediatric focused

individual. Yeah, I've been doing pediatric anesthesia for a while now.

That's great. And I did not know about the Hopkins connection, but that's fun that you were
