1:19.6 | It's actually listed as Hank. Unfortunately, I couldn't get that from Discord because there's somebody else out there, I guess, with my name. |
1:25.6 | So I use T-O-A-A-E, which is an old acronym of use since I was like eight years old and can't divorce it. |
1:32.6 | All right. Well, there you go. So Hank, how did you kind of get into Warhammer 40,000? Let's get a quick synopsis of how you got into it and then what brings you here today? |
1:43.6 | Yeah, so this is actually this summer is my 20th year since I started. So when I was 13 because I was grounded from video games all summer for failing a middle school class. |
1:55.6 | Nice. And I rode my bike down to the local gaming store. It's called a little shop of magic, which started as a closet. |
2:04.6 | Like it was in a, you had to go down a hallway behind another store and it was tiny room and expanded over time. And he's actually since moved to Vegas and he's got a great story. |
2:13.6 | It's going great. But I would go there because I played Dungeons and Dragons. And I honestly don't remember how I started that. I think Foxtrot, the comic might have gotten me into Dungeons and Dragons. |
2:23.6 | And then eventually being in that store saw Warhammer miniatures. They had a beginner's tournament. They gave you 800 points. |
2:29.6 | My first games were in this tournament. And 20 years later, this is still my primary hobby. Nice. Nice. This is a great introduction. Yeah, that's a great journey. Yeah, for sure. |
2:40.6 | And what did that middle school class do for you anyway, right? It was constant, man. I felt like it's like Mr. Concert. |
