Thomas Charles Murray Jr.

T.J. to those who loved him most, was a 23 year old from Huntsville, Texas.

He was a little league umpire and had survived leukemia.

Just after midnight on October 19th, 2011,

TJ got kicked out of a bar in Spring, Texas. Video then shows

TJ walking alone, headed south from the building. He was never seen again. I'm at

Denzel and this is unfound. I'm going to do.

So, If the name of this episode is not familiar to you you can find its origin in a multitude of places. For me, it comes from the film

Full Metal Jacket. Joker, the main character, is asked how he as a soldier can carry an M16, but also wear a peace symbol on his uniform.

Joker responds, kinda with a title that I've chosen for TJ's disappearance.

What it means is that within all of us there are contradictions.

We are both passive and aggressive. Outspoken and silent. Kind and rude.

For example, the man who in public is the sweetest human you ever want to meet, but behind the scenes he abuses his kids, his wife, and the family dog.

Likewise, and in-concern, and the woman

woman who in private is the most understanding person you ever want to meet

but in her public work she is as demanding a boss as has ever been created.

We are all animals of extremes and due to our higher reasoning, we are able to plan what we will do and what face we will show for whatever particular situation.

Those qualities make us both the best hunters and the best caregivers on Earth.

Well, in the disappearance of T.J. Murray, he was known as being one of the nicest guys around, helping young athletes

and being a mentor to his youngest brother. Yet on the night of his disappearance, T.J. slapped an innocent young woman in front of a crowd of people, for seemingly no reason.

Then he disappeared.

And we're left to figure out if this case has anything to do with the duality of a man.
