Hello and welcome back to AckRack. I'm Jed Wolpa and I'm really excited for today's

show because we're going to do something I wanted to do for a long time. We're going

to talk about radiation safety in the operating room and the various suites where we practice

and I've got with me the person who knows all about this. Hey folks, exciting quick announcement.

We are going to have another live AckRack episode at this year's American Society of Anesthesiologist

Annual Meeting in San Francisco. It will be at 2 p.m. at center stage and I have two amazing

guests. Dr. Deb Cully will talk about post-op delirium, what we know about it and what we can do to

prevent it. And Dr. John Icon will talk about the future of patient safety monitoring. I'm really

excited for these two amazing guests. I think it's going to be a great conversation and we will

have lots of time for audience Q&A. So come take part. It's going to be a blast. We'd love to see

Annual Meeting. I hope to see you there. I have Dr. Mahesh. Dr. Mahesh is a professor in the

Department of Radiology here. He's also a professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology

and he's a medical physicist here at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He's incredibly well decorated

for all that he's done. He's the president elect of the American Association of Physicists

in Medicine. That's the AAPM and he's a board member of the American College of Radiology.

He is going to really help us to understand what we need to know about this. Dr. Mahesh, thank

you so much for being here. Oh, thank you very much for inviting me to talk to you at this

conversation. I consider this a very important one because a lot of the time medical physicists

we are trying to reach out and share this knowledge but it's this is the right way and I

consider this a very fortunate to have this opportunity. Let me tell you briefly about myself.
