famous Phil Henry show it's difficult for me to say the things that I'm going to say tonight all of them very heartfelt

things that I haven't said because the occasion had not yet presented itself but today on this what we

like to call netcast what we like to call a digital cast what we have tried not to call a podcast not putting down

anybody that uses a term it just seems a bit more insular it doesn't seem well it doesn't seem like the broadcast that we have so often done

over the course of our career what I'm going to tell you tonight what I'm going to tell you today I should say is the result of a great deal of thought

it's the result of a great deal of contemplation and pondering and the result of a consultation with friends and fellow professionals colleagues

and it has been not just days or months in the making it has been years years in the formulating it is a hard thing for me to say you probably

have already guessed what it is I'm about to say but I will tell you that I say it with a tinge of sadness a glimmer of happiness but not for any of the

reasons you may think simply because I'm reflecting and feeling happy about the things I'm thinking of I say it because I am grateful you

know we hear this word gratitude thrown around an awful lot well I'm grateful I am happy I'm grateful and I am yes of course a little bit sad

in reporting to you today that I have decided that I am going to have gender reassignment surgery I'm only kidding

see that wait a minute you're not supposed to say anything no that that's just cheap you know I feel like that is just cheap you know I'm supposed

to say okay turn the tape off but no because because I agreed that you know we thought we thought you were going to say something really funny

that would turn what people thought was an announcement of your retirement on its head we didn't know you're going to say look at fill all that stuff

in the news what about it all of the stuff about transgender this and that in the news and you drop a joke like that it's not funny it's not even controversial it's just crude and in poor taste

and it points a finger at you not to say isn't this funny but to say look at me look at how I can upset the apple card a little bit
