Hello and I am thrilled to welcome back to Aqrach. I'm Jed Wolpe and I am thrilled to welcome

back Dr Andrea Du Toit, who is the program director at the University of Nebraska, and we work really closely together

on the Board of Directors for the Program Director Association in Anesthesiology, which is the

AACPD, and Andrea will be taking over as president when I finish and she has really

taken the lead on gathering the data and thinking about how we're going to

manage signaling in our specialty of anesthesiology. You may remember she came on the show once before when we first

were talking about signaling and how it went that first year. And now that we've gone through a second

year and we have some data about how it went with the five gold and ten silver signals, Andrea's

back to kind of update us on that. So I think this will be really useful for folks who are

applying, also who are advising people who are applying, and it'll pair really nicely

with the episode that I did very recently with Dr. Tricia Pendergast because she really provided

that applicant information as someone who just matched and she also was able to cite the study that she did looking at getting a survey of people who applied.

Now, Dr. Du Toit is going to be able to tell us more

on the PD side.

I'll be able to provide some information there too

and also some data that we gathered

from the program director side.

So I think these two together will provide some really nice information for folks who are

applying and folks who are advising those who are applying.
