Hi, everybody, it's David. I'm here with Starley and John. This is just a quick special episode

because there's been some late breaking news. Bernie Sanders has officially dropped out of the

Democratic primary. This is something that Starley and I were skeptical would ever happen.

We thought he would be campaigning through the inauguration, doing some inaugural speech

counter programming at the other end of the mall with a much bigger crowd.

But he has officially dropped out.

So we just wanted to hop on and share our analyses and feelings.

I'm surprised.

I'm definitely surprised. I'm stunned.

It's one of those things where, of course, I thought it was going to happen, and I don't mind saying, you know, like, I made a little money on him not dropping out, but after Wisconsin, I thought he's going to drop out after Wisconsin.

And then he did it. And it's just,

I feel weird. I feel a little disorienting. It's like this, it's like the moon disappearing or

something. Like, I thought that thing was always going to be there. Shining down on me.

Yeah. And like, Bernie, I don't think anyone feels good about how kind of Bernie's, how it all played out.

I think some, I think people are relieved probably that he's dropped out just so he doesn't hurt

Biden's chances later on and in the greater scheme of things.

But it feels especially sad.

Wisconsin was this rigged, corrupt, bad feeling election that shouldn't

have happened when it happened. And then that already felt bad. And then to wake up this morning

with an email from Bernie saying that's what, I don't know, I mean, the timing seems like that's

what did it, you know, either that or maybe or maybe John Lewis endorsing Biden's what did it.

I mean, that's a good point, Starley.
