Hello, world, and welcome to episode three of the Pinkbike podcast.

Today is all about the tech. We're going to talk about Paond Beaver, our virtual trade show coverage. We're going to talk about new suspension from Fox and Rock Shocks. I have both my bosses here, Brian Park and Mike Kazimer. And to talk about suspension, we also have our latest addition to the editorial team, Dan Roberts, an actual

engineer, a real-life engineer. But first, we're going to cover the news with James Smirthwaite.

Yeah, unfortunately, we're starting with more coronavirus again. So the UCI gave us a bit of an

update on what's happening on their end. They've now cancelled 30% of the international calendar.

That's 650 events.

And they're refunding every organiser their calendar fees.

So it's a pretty significant loss of earnings on their part.

We give them a, well, they get a lot of shit in our comments section, sometimes deservedly,

but to me they're a big part of the reason why the XE and Downhill World Cup is as good as they are at the moment,

and we need them when racing gets going again. So hoping for the best for those guys.

Yeah, it's definitely not the time to be dancing on anyone's graves. You know, the leadership, I think they're going to get some flack that there's some leaderships only taken pay cuts and haven't furloughed themselves, but they're, you know, they're also responsible for getting racing going again when possible. Hopefully they are the right people to make that happen when we can.
