Summary

In this 300th episode, at the request of our listeners, I ask Dr. Dave Stahl to take the host's chair and interview me. We discuss some reflections on 8 years and 300 episodes of ACCRAC and some clinical and life based tips and tricks that I have picked up over the years.

Hello and welcome back to Ackrak and indeed to the 300th episode of Ackrak.

0:19.2

It is hard for me to believe that we have done 300 of these. And it's

0:24.2

both humbling and exciting. And I'm just really grateful to all of you listening that you've

0:29.1

been listening for this long, especially those who have heard all 300 of these. It's been a lot of

0:34.1

fun. And what we decided to do, as you know, we reached out to all of you and asked what you wanted to see for the 300th episode.

0:40.9

Some people sending questions, but the predominant thing that came in was actually people asking if I would do a master clinician episode where I was the master clinician.

0:49.5

Now, let me be clear, I do not think of myself as a master clinician.

0:52.3

But enough people wanted to see it that I

0:54.9

decided, okay, I'm happy to give my tips and tricks, my recommendations as compiled as I can get

1:00.6

them. But rather than interview myself, I thought it would be fun to ask someone else to interview me.

1:05.9

So I have asked my good friend and colleague, master clinician himself, frequent guest in the past on

1:11.7

Ack, Dr. Dave Stahl, to come in. He is actually the host of a podcast through the Society

1:18.5

for Education and Anesthesia or the co-host of that podcast. So he's got the experience. He's been

1:22.7

on Ackrak. He's got that experience. And I thought he would do a great job interviewing me for this

1:26.9

300th episode.

1:28.2

So I'm going to turn it over to him and let him take it from there, and we'll see how it goes with him in the host chair and me on the other side of the mic.

1:35.2

Dave, thanks for coming on and doing this.

1:37.5

Well, thank you.

1:38.1

I'm thrilled and honor to be here today to interview the one and only Jed Wolpaw for the 300th episode of Akrak. I'm going to start off by

1:44.9

going off script a little bit to just acknowledge the 300th episode because I think this is really

1:49.4

incredible. And we're going to circle back, I think, later to talk maybe about gratitude. But I want to

1:54.3

talk a little bit about this as an accomplishment. And so I asked Chat GPT about the number 300.
