Burnham on Star Trek Discovery. I especially

looked forward to recording this one because there's a light, an inner radiance in Seneca that

I can feel yet can't pinpoint. It's hard to explain. It's just there. I mean, she's beautiful.

There's that. She's super talented. There's that. She's a good leader.

There's that. Her acting resume is impressive. But there's something else that just drew me in.

Was it her sincerity? I don't know, but she's also very funny. Well, it was probably all those things.

But as you will hear, it's also her strength of character

and the decisions she made in her life that has made her the icon she is today. Take a listen.

I was just thinking about our community of actors on Star Trek. Yes. And how absolutely

amazing it is that they're such good people.

They really are. Everyone I've interviewed has always surprised me. Their willingness to just be

open and to talk and care about the future and learn and all these things. It's just remarkable.

And Taney, I've become good friends with it.
