In terms of what makes us vulnerable to misinformation, crisis events themselves make us vulnerable

to misinformation, especially when there's uncertainty about what's actually going on

and anxiety about what we can do to prevent harm or what we can do to protect ourselves

or take action to respond to the crisis event. So the pandemic, COVID-19 pandemic has

both uncertainty and anxiety and it has it for an extended period of time. And so absolutely

this makes us acutely vulnerable to, you know, going out to seek information to come

up, trying to come up with explanations of what's going on to help us make better decisions.

And therefore, to being vulnerable both both to misinformation where people are accidentally

getting things wrong and disinformation when people are intentionally trying to manipulate
