A small town in the northwest corner of Missouri where nothing ever happens became the focus of international attention when an unbelievable crime was committed, seemingly with the whole town's approval.

But the target in the slang had a long and terrifying history

that left some spectators wondering whether he may have had it coming.

I'm gonna. This is one of those stories that I'm going to kill you. This is one of those stories that I believe the author Harry McLean who wrote the book in

broad daylight said it sort of takes on like this mythical status where if you kind of say you ever

heard in that case where a town came together and people are like, oh I remember whatever happened in that.

That is what the next three episodes are about.

It's quite interesting how the focus of the documentary, no one saw a thing, and the story you might just hear upon first blush of like, how could an entire town not say anything about a man being shot in broad daylight and then you hear about all of the things that led up to that point and I said I could see how it would happen.

Mm-hmm. A wise, wise woman once said we exist in the context of everything that came before us.

And so to hear a town ganged up on this person,

who was a bully, I was like,

I would like to raise my hand.
