My name's Andy Wood.

Matt is currently abroad, but I didn't want that to stop us from putting together a show,

especially in light of what those of us in Southern California just went through last week that was pretty sobering.

We've talked a lot in this podcast about our earthquake preparedness or

lack thereof, and I thought this is a great time to bring on science reporter for KPCC, Jacob Margolis,

who also hosts the podcast The Big One, which takes a look at what would happen in a hypothetical
