joining me on the Celestialios Panel. I know you both have your own discrete areas of

expertise and I hope to cover a wide range of topics today. So how about you introduce yourself starting with you,

Jason? Thank you and thank you for this invitation. It's a pleasure. I often enjoy listening to you, so it's nice being here to talk to you.

I have different hats, so I guess my main hat is I'm an assistant professor at

Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. I'm also the director of the Congo Research Group, which is a research institute based at New York University.

And then both Christoph and I are actually founding members of a research institute based

in Kincasa called Ebutelli.

So those are my various hats.

I'm very pleased to be with you tonight.

My name is Christoph. I'm a researcher. I'm originally from

France and Germany and I've been working on different aspects of conflict and politics in

Central Africa, especially Eastern Congo for around 15 years now and currently with Ghent University which is in Belgium.

All right, so I think if the listeners are anything like I am, we've been really immersed in discussing, covering,
