Hello and welcome back to My Moms Basement and a very special Deadpool and Wolverine recap edition of my mom's

basement. I'm Bub Fox. With me is Adam Anticlem and we are here to recap the movie. We saw

it early. We were lucky enough to go to the

premiere on Monday. We're recording this on Wednesday. It'll be out on

Thursday. Clem, we finally did it. We finally saw Deadpool in Wolverine and dare I say it lived up to the hype.

Yeah, it's crazy to think about when they first announced the movie.

Remember the ad with Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds and we're just like what the

fuck and they're making all the jokes the meta stuff and you just tell their

buddies and we're like oh man this is going to be so awesome whenever a new

Deadpool like they do great

job with advertising, but anytime there's a new Deadpool announce, there's just

so much fun stuff and to think we got from that moment to this moment, along

with like all the low lights of the MCU that took place in that timeline,

it was like, all right, we need to hit.

And again, the only other time we had an early screener was quantum mania, and we're like, please don't be, because if this quantum mania and we're like please don't be because if this

quantum mania was a blip a big blip but it was a legit blip for sure not a Thanos kind of blip but like it was a bump in the road

this would have been like a sinkhole and the car just goes down into the sink

call if it wasn't good, but it was... How do I even say this? Was it great? I think it was great. It was great for what it was. I'm not going to say it's like this.

I don't think it's an iconic movie that's like, you know, we're not going to compare it to the cream of the crop,

but it was great for exactly, was exactly what I hoped for as a fan and exactly what the MC you needed, right?
