and we meet here every single week to chop up all the prominent, newsworthy, and hilarious happenings

in the world of mixed martial arts. Ben, a very 90s episode of the co-made event podcast this week.

I'm pretty excited about it, Chad.

Well, the day was November the 12th, 1993, down there at the McNickles Sports Arena,

the granddaddy of them all in Denver, Colorado,

as they said on the broadcast, eight street tough warriors prepared to wage battle in fights

where anything could and probably would happen. Ben, UFC won.

Some of the deadliest human beings in the world, I'm led to believe, gathered here in the McNacles Arena for this.

You know, you'd think that that would actually be kind of a liability to get so many deadly street tough warriors all in one place.

And yet they pulled it off.

I'm impressed.

I mean, you've got a lot of disciplines represented here. You got Savat, you got Sumo,

you got kickboxing, you got American Kempo, you got Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, you got boxing,

you got shoot fighting, and you got Taekwondo here in the eight-man bracket of UFC 1.

You know, I got to say,

I'm watching UFC 1.

I got some concerns about the broadcast.

I'm just going to put it out there.
