I think that it would have taken a really big protest explosion, a very very large amount of pressure to make the US abandon Israel as an ally.

to what extent is this protest movement, which is real and powerful?

And I think, it should be said, is not only about in the short term changing U.S. policy or changing

electoral outcomes. It also matters. It just matters that there are people around the world coming

out to support Palestinians. But we as Americans in the most powerful

country that's ever existed with the largest military that's ever been, the largest

death machine ever put together by far. We have a special ability to put pressure on that

machine, right? So the tiniest bit that we can make it less evil, there's quite a lot of

impact that has around that can be had around the world.

And so the question I was asking sort of myself

and just now is, it's not like, oh,

it's common gonna be an entirely different person.

But to what extent was Biden's strange,

the strange figure of Joseph Biden in 2023 and 2024 made it a little bit harder

to get through to the elites.
