Jake, you asked the question, you know, who's going to fill the void? Who's next? I mean, I think some years ago, many of us would have said AOC, and that was the hope. The Vanity Fair piece, I think, accurately captures some cynicism, some skepticism around that being the possibility from the Chapo crew. They write, Biederman doesn't see anyone building anything like that on the left. Quote, Bernie is still individually popular, but it's hard to have him as a center of gravity for

this movement when he spent the past four years telling everyone how great Biden is.

The same is true for AOC.

He says, if anyone is going to recapture that feeling, it's going to have to be someone who's

a little more courageous than that.

Frost is particularly dubious about AOC's commitment to Democratic socialism.

Without the movement, she's pretty untethered, Frost says. I don't think she's particularly

focused or serious-minded about politics so much as the left liberal commitment to forming a

righteous block, a little righteous block, which doesn't resonate with people as much as

results. It tends to resonate with people without real problems.

This is what you were getting at as well, Jake. I think all of that is right and true.

I just wanted to bring this as an anecdote because I found myself very frustrated watching

her response to the inauguration. Definitely put this clip in. She did an Instagram live

explaining why she wasn't going to go. It has almost a million views at this point.

The reasoning was that she doesn't go to the inauguration of rapists.

All these journalists are like, Congresswoman, are you going to the inauguration?

Congresswoman, are you going to the inauguration?

Are you going to the inauguration?

Let me make myself clear.

I don't celebrate rapists.

So no, I'm not going to the inauguration room.

Now, I certainly have no interest in apologizing for that which Donald Trump has been accused of.
