Episode 510, the fall of Sevastopol.

Last time, on May 15, 1942, Kirch had fallen, as had all of the Eastern Crimea. Now, Syvestopol, the lone holdout of the

peninsula, would receive General von Manstein and his 11th Army's full attention. From winter until the

fall of Kurch, Manstein had been given more resources, and by May, Sylvestopol was surrounded, by land, sea, and air.

This was because 1942 was to be the year that Hitler knocked Soviet Russia out of the war,

and to that end, Army Group's north and center were on the defensive, which made sense,

as Leningrad was surrounded and

Armour Group Center and the Soviet forces just west of Moscow were still slugging it out in their
