Last time on November 11th, General Paulus made one last push to take the last holdouts of Stalingrad.

He had most of the Western Bank of the Volga,

but it was those few remaining clusters of defiance that allowed supplies to make their way to the

enemy. Just a little more, and his 6th Army could have settled in the urban city through the winter

in relative safety. But that's not what happened.

The men under Chuikov held on, enough, so the enemy could not declare victory.

Oh, well, now it was time to wait out the harsh winter months.
