Hey everybody and welcome back to another pink bike podcast with me, your usual host for these things, Mike Levy.

Today we're on episode 64 and we're talking about the people and the things that we would like to see

on our make-believe mountain bike Mount Rushmore. But first, I've got my intern here, Mike Casimir,

with me, Kaz, you're American. Have you ever been to Mount Rushmore? I have, yeah. When I was

12 years old, we took a brutal trip, a van road trip around

the entire country from Connecticut all the way through the whole U.S. for three weeks with four

children in a van and my parents. And at one point, we were in South Dakota and I saw Mount Rushmore.

Is that like a right of passage? Like every American has to go to Mount Rushmore. In a horrible fireworks and set them off or something.

I think so.

I think that's part of what you have to do.

You have to go to Washington, D.C., and then get heat stroke and pass out, and then

you have to go, like, to see the arch in St. Louis, and then you go to South Dakota.

Yeah, it's a thing.

But yeah, I have been there, and there are people carved into a mountain. They look huge. In person, is it? Yeah, they're pretty big.

If you look at pictures of when they're building it, like, you can see the little

workers, like on the nose of the president and stuff.

All right.

Well, we're going to talk about Mount Rushmore a bit.

We're going to turn this into a bit of a history podcast for a few minutes.
