Welcome to the YWTF and LA Podcast 2015!

I'm happy to be here. I say that because it's a habit.

I don't know what the fuck to talk about. It wasn't a bleak day.

But maybe I can share what I wrote on my phone. Like I usually carry around scraps of paper that I write on.

I rarely write jokes or things that are funny on my phone or on a piece of paper.

They're important ideas that are very pressing to me in the moment.

And there were two things that came up in conversation and I thought I should write them down.

The first being erratic apes cursed with consciousness.

Which would be us, I think, is what we're going to explain.

And then this is a fine way to open a show.

It's amazing how easily we've all adapted to this utterly non-reflective but self-consumed culture.

Elaborate shallowness based on lifestyle choice and vanity.

Mutated egos seeking recognition calling that individuality.

And then the next one says, forget happy, I want to be chipper.

Right there. Isn't happiness too much to ask for?

Do you know what people here that are capable of like someone asked me and this comes up a lot.

What do you do that gives you joy?

And my response is always like, what the fuck are you talking about?
