My guest this week is Dr. Kevin Mayer.

Dr. Mayer has spent the last five years driving the development of

large-scale micro-poprogation programs for cannabis in North America. Kevin received his PhD and

genome science and technology from the University of British Columbia and translate this experience

with genetics and plant science to every facet of operations, product innovation, and establishing

new sales channels.

Kevin has established key partnerships with some of the largest licensed cannabis producers in Canada and the U.S.

and continues to ensure company execution while driving the industry forward.

Hey, Kevin, thanks for coming on the podcast today.

Thanks for having me.

Yeah, let's start off by telling listeners a little bit about yourself. Sure, so I, my background is academic.

I got a PhD in genome science and technology, which with the focus on microbial genetics way back in the day.

And, you know, at the time I wasn't focused on plants, but I was fortunate

enough when the early Canadian cannabis companies and licensing was coming online to join

an upstart there and really just grew to love plants more than I ever thought I would

and dive into this world. And, you know, I couldn't be more happy

that I'm here now. So I've been working in the cannabis space for the last five years and typically,

you know, just focusing on the nursery space and tissue culture. Wonderful. Wonderful. I appreciate

you coming on the show. I found out about you guys from Suzanne, who's a good friend of mine.
