Hello, Mountaineers. Welcome to Bedtime Bible Stories, stories from God's storybook to

exercise our faith. Let's begin. After David defeated Goliath, the Israelites rejoiced.

Soon the Israelite army returned home from the place where David killed Goliath.

The women came out to meet Saul and the others were dancing and singing,

playing on tambourines and lutes.

They sang, Saul has slain his thousands and David his tens of thousands.

This made Saul jealous and angry. He said, they're crediting David with tens of thousands,

but me with only thousands. What more can he get but the kingdom?
