welcome back to Unshaken I'm Jared Halverson and I'm thrilled to have you back for some more time in the book of Mormon.

This week we're going to be studying Ether Chapter 6

through 11 and if you've ever sat down and plowed through first and second Kings

and or first and second Chronicles you're going to kind of have a sense of some of the material we're going to be plowing through today.

What you see in those Old Testament books is King after King, often switching back and forth between a King of Judah and a King of Israel, some good, most bad, but massive amounts of history, with insights

being brought out by various kings to see what we should or shouldn't do, whether we should

follow their example or not. We'll see the same kinds of things today as we go through a massive amount of

Jaredite history.

Father to son, sometimes brother, a nephew, and so on, but lots and lots of kings,

some good, some bad, with lessons to learn from many of them

and don't worry there's no quiz at the end of today's session where you have to match

the name of a Gerritite king with the events that took place in his reign.

I don't think there's angels passing out scantrons and number two pencils on judgment day

to see if we can regurgitate scriptural trivia.

What's most important is that we learn some lessons on how to live our lives, the kinds

of sins that must be avoided, and the kinds of solutions that the Lord offers to help us navigate
