Eugene was a pretty relaxed guy who kind of kept to himself. He didn't really go out public much. Just wanted to be by himself.

I cared a lot about his family and his inner circle of people. I had a good job that he loved doing every single day.

He worked and was just really one of the best people you could have ever met.

He's got a real goofy personality. He's one that would like to make people laugh and kind of play dumb at the same time.

He's not dumb. Just could do anything. You could get someone to laugh really.

There was no trace of his phone, no trace of his wallet, no trace of his glasses, no trace of anything.

You would think something like that would be there somewhere. Two years ago, and by any other than found him, I just can't believe that somebody would completely disappear without a trace.

On March 26, 2020, 45-year-old Eugene Prince had plans to go on a short road trip with a friend. They started out in Woon's Sockets, South Dakota, and drove about 25 miles east to the very small town of Fedora to drop off a woods blitter.

After that, Eugene and his friend were spotted at a bar in Forestburg, which would have been along the route home.

This is the last confirmed sighting of Eugene. The truck they were in was seen on camera driving away from the bar at 7.38pm.

Other bar patrons said that you could tell that they had been drinking, but Eugene didn't appear to be visibly intoxicated.

And he had mentioned that he wanted to go home. He had work in the morning.

But according to Eugene's friend, he made a detour to stop at a mutual friend's farm. He went inside while Eugene stayed in the car.

When the friend came out about 20 minutes later, Eugene was gone. And he's never been seen or heard from again.
