In order to do that job, you had to be able to recognize that the line of scrimnage, get everybody right.

Before snap and post-snap, read through your defense, go through your progressions, and then make an accurate throw.

Sometimes on the run because your offensive protection broke down.

Nowadays, it's in the shotgun, so you're not even doing dropbacks.

You're protected from the initial rush.

You have one read, and then you start moving.

Maybe you have another read, and if you don't like it, you run.

And so it's easier for these kids to play right away.

And so, yeah, you want to draft a guy, ideally you want them to sit. But if it's not a

drop back, a pure dropback system, they don't have to. You know what I mean? Jordan Love benefited

from that in Green Bay because what Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers were doing was like a dropback

system, right? There was no misdirection.

There was no motion.

There was no, you know, rolling out of the pocket.

There was none of that stuff.

It was very static.

And Aaron just executed it.

And so Jordan Love wouldn't have been able to do that.

So he sat.

And I think he benefited from that because he also has all these other athletic things that he can do as well once they reconfigured that offense a little bit.

So I don't know if a young quarterback necessarily needs to sit like they used to.

You know what I mean? And I think we've seen enough successes in the last couple of years to say, hey, if J.N. Daniels can do it.
