And Josh is my partner of 10 years.

When they came to StoryCorps, they talked about a lot that day, like their identities, their differences, and their love.

That was more than a decade ago.

And just recently, Gabriel reached out to us.

He wanted the recording, because Josh had died back in 2014.

And he wanted to hear his voice again.

But he also had another request.

I asked to do the updated recording because I don't want Josh's story and my story to be lost.
