SCP 6488, Eighth Commandment. Part 2. In the first part of SCP 6488, we were introduced to Victor,

a specific type of artificial intelligence created by the foundation, who was tasked with investigating an

SCP file that for some reason was difficult for the 05

counsel to perceive.

He first learns that SCP-6488 is an unknown virus that is responsible for devouring other

AIs, but this is simply a cover-up for the real 6488, a massive machine developed by the foundation

for the purposes of containing deviant AIs, known as Lotus.

Lotus, however, eventually ran into issues when it was turned off, where it not only

released every AI that was interred within it, but caused them all to turn hostile,

because they believe they are still living within a simulation.

Now, the foundation has to deal with a planet filled with hostile AIs,

capable of potentially destroying humanity,

and their only real solution so far is to turn the machine back on that started the

whole mess.

We pick up where we left off, with Victor realizing that something is amiss with his memories,

as he seems to remember events that occurred before he was created.

He continues reading the 6488 file, with another summit getting together after Lotus was repaired

in order to discuss whether Lotus should be reactivated or permanently disassembled.
